Abstract:

Metasurfaces constructed of artificial patterns of subwavelength thickness make it possible to achieve flat, ultrathin optical devices of high performance. In this seminar I present my research focus on the materials and nanofabrication of optical metasurfaces. Diverse materials have been utilized, ranging from metals, semiconductors, and dielectrics. Employing various nanopatterning techniques we demonstrated colour filters, flat lens for visible and infrared, highly sensitive chemical sensors, just name a few.
